Biography
Christof Unterberger is a composer for film and media and a cellist based in Vienna.
He studied cello in Graz and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Philippe Muller, graduating with a concert diploma. As a cellist he has performed across Europe, the US and Asia, among others as principal cellist of the Wiener Kammerphilharmonie and alongside Plácido Domingo, Sarah Brightman, Patricia Kaas, Soap&Skin and Kenny Werner.
Since 2006 he has written music for film, television, games and commercials, from “Sturm der Liebe” and “Iceman 3D” to the game “Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons – Remake” and Antonio Marras’ campaign featuring Sharon Stone. He teaches media music at JAM MUSIC LAB Private University in Vienna and leads the “Orchestral Programming” masterclass at Popakademie Baden-Württemberg.
